How Do I Load These Things??

With the overhaul of mIRC's remote section in Version 5.0 it is now easier than ever to add things to your remotes, aliases, and popups.

You no longer have to cut and paste anything. You simply have to follow these directions:

  • Download a script and save it to your hard drive.
  • Load mIRC.
  • Go to the Remote Editor.

  • Select 'File'

  • Click On 'Load'

  • Select 'SCRIPT'.

  • Find your file in the directory

  • The script will be loaded into your editor. Read the script at this point by scrolling through it in the mIRC editor. The script will not execute until you press the OK button.
  • After you have made sure you understand and accept whatever the script is doing press the OK button. Your Script will be started. You May then see a warning that the file is going to process some startup commands. This is normal.
